Pretty copper pendant featuring a flying kingfisher. I made this unusual pendant by first modelling a kingfisher in polymer clay, baking it, then taking a mould. I filled the mould with copper clay, let it dry thoroughly, then heated it with a torch to leave a pure copper charm.

The pendant measures 1 1/4 inches x 1  1/4 inches and is on an 18 inch black leather cord, finished with copper wire wrapping and a copper coloured lobster clasp.

Copper clay is copper dust mixed with a binder. When heated to a cherry red glow for 5 minutes the binder burns off, leaving pure copper behind.
