I was intrigued by the way that fluid art methods can create beautiful seas and skies in a way that is not possible with traditional painting. For the sky I used a technique where puddles of paint are placed on the canvas, which is then tilted in different ways to spread the paint and create clouds. For the sea I used a different technique where paint is placed in lines across the canvas and again tilted to create the waves. The beach was painted in a similar fashion, I included gold paint to show the subtle glow that sand has in sunlight.
